What outreach measures
Horizontal outreach describes sideways reach from a manufacturer-defined reference point. It is not always measured from the chassis edge and should be read with the source diagram.
Load-dependent envelopes
Maximum outreach often reduces as basket load increases. Some machines also vary the envelope by slew angle, outrigger position, jib extension or chassis configuration.
Specify the real requirement
Measure the horizontal distance and vertical work position together, then include the people, tools and materials required in the platform.
